Is it a castle perched on a rock—or a fortress floating in the clouds?

Embracing the Mystery of Clouds, Dreams, and the Floating Fortress

Clouds rise from the mountains after the rain, obscuring what lies beyond. Is it a castle perched on a rock—or a fortress floating in the clouds?
Clouds over Centelles, Catalonia, Spain

I’ve always found myself captivated by clouds—their shapes, their movement, and the way they endlessly transform. Clouds bring life and depth to any landscape, softening light as it passes through and adding layers of perception.

Living in the mountains, I’m in a place where clouds are born. I love watching them rise after a rain or in the quiet hours of morning. At first, they’re barely visible, almost transparent. But as they gather momentum, they grow and merge into grander forms, floating upward and away.

To me, a landscape draped in clouds feels like a dream—a floating fortress of ever-changing forms. Like dreams, clouds are in constant flux, never settling, with one shape morphing into another. They hint at hidden possibilities and cast a shadowed lens on the world, inviting our imagination to play.

This new sketch was inspired by the connection between clouds and dreams. The way clouds obscure what’s beyond sparks that same kind of wonder and curiosity we feel when dreaming—where clarity fades, and our minds fill in the blanks, shaping a new reality beyond the mist.

If clouds and dreams speak to you as they do to me, take a moment to explore the collection and see where your imagination takes you. Each piece invites you to step into a world of shifting shapes and subtle mysteries, ready to reveal something new every time you look.

May your imagination continue to wander, finding beauty in every hidden detail and every passing cloud.
